MUAP 4650 - Applied Principal Percussion

A continuation of MUAP 2650 focusing on public performance of standard solo percussion repertoire. Admission to upper division percussion instruction is contingent upon 1) the accumulation of a minimum of four hours credit in MUAP 2650 and 2) satisfactory completion of a division jury before a panel of music faculty. A combination of individual and group instruction provides preparation for public performance. Each student who is enrolled for applied principal percussion instruction must concurrently participate fully in a major UNG instrumental performance ensemble, regardless of whether the student chooses to enroll for ensemble credit. A student may accumulate a maximum of 16 credit hours in this course.

Prerequisite: MUAP 2650 with a grade of C or higher
